Gombe: Gov Yahaya urges Muslims on Muhammad’s tolerance, modesty

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state has called on the Muslim Ummah to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, humility, modesty, and generosity as exemplified by the life and times of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

 This was contained in a press statement issued in Gombe by the senior special assistant to the governor on media and publicity, Mr. Samaila Uba Misilli, in Gombe on Sunday.

The governor also advised the leaders and the led to use the occasion to draw lessons and inspiration from the virtues of service and exemplary leadership of the Holy Prophet and give their all for the overall peace, unity, development, and prosperity of the society.

He stressed the need for tolerance, regardless of differences, adding that “it is only through such commitment that development challenges will better be confronted and addressed.”

 The governor appreciated that people for their loyalty and support for his administration, and urged them to continue to pray for the peace, well-being and prosperity of the state and the nation.
