Gombe gov’ship aspirant vows to lift hurdles against APC victory

A Gombe state governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Umar Farouk Bamusa has vowed to remove the stumbling blocks which prevented the APC candidate from emerging victorious in 2015.
Bamusa who spoke yesterday at the APC headquarters shortly after he obtained nomination form to run for the number one political seat in Gombe state, said the stumbling blocks were the unpopularity of the the APC candidate among youth and women.
Describing himself as the candidate of the women, the youth and the entire Gombe people, he noted his entry into the race will translate to bidding farewell to other political parties especially the PDP which has ruled the state since 1999.
“There were huddles that stopped the APC from winning Gombe state in 2015 and I am going to remove the huddles to make victory a reality.
The huddles were those of unacceptability and unpopularity of the candidates and I am the candidate of women and youth in Gombe state.” Speaking on the development so far in the state during the last 20 years of PDP in the state , Bamusa said it was 16 years of waste and neglect.
“Twenty years was decimated, no improvement, even in physical infrastructure, human capital neglect.
That’s exactly what we are going to address, to change the fortunes of Gombe people.” He expressed absolute confidence that he would emerge victorious both at the APC primaries and the main election, stressing that the people that matter including party delegates and major party stakeholders had accompanied him to Abuja to pick his nomination form.
