Gombe guber aspirant speaks on ending insecurity in North east

The immediate past National Youth Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ibrahim Jalo Dasuki, has attributed youth mass unemployment and their seemingly lack of entrepreneurial spirit to incessant insecurity challenges confronting the region.
Revealing his plans to end socioeconomic vices in the region, Dasuki also lamented the high maternal mortality rate in his State stating that his administration would address that if elected governor.
Speaking in Abuja after obtaining his nomination and expression of interest forms to contest governorship seat of Gombe state, Dasuki said he would encourage and ensure all round farming in the state if given the mandate to governor in 2019.
“I want to equally say that we have to farm round the year not the season, because if you farm for four months and wait for eight months doing nothing, of course, you will be poor.
“These are the things bringing insecurity particularly in my zone (North East) because many people are not engaging in economic activities or businesses.
So, we have to do something so as to ensure our people are better in terms of generating income”, he said noting that he would rekindle the Dala Pyramid.
“Agriculture is important because our people are known for it.
Most of our people engage in peasant farming”, he said adding that his administration would strive to improve on existing farming method and thus boost economic activities in the state.

The aspirant declined to criticize incumbent Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo’s administration noting that that has never been his style.
