Gombe Hajj Commission commends media

The Executive Secretary of Gombe State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Sa’adu Hassan, has commended the media for the support and effective coverage of Hajj operations in the State.

Alhaji Hassan gave the commendation Tuesday in his office while briefing journalists on the level of preparations of 2019 hajj operation in the state.

He said the media is playing a pivotal role in educating, sensitizing the general public and the intending pilgrims on Hajj Operations.

Alhaji Hassan also said the first batch of pilgrims would transport to Saudi Arabia on 20 July 2019 adding that the board has secured a visa for 900 out of 1,400 intending pilgrims and remaining visa would be ready in few days.

He reaffirmed the determination of the state government towards providing needed welfare of the state pilgrims from Gombe hajj camp to the holy land.

Alhaji Hassan also lauded the commitment of Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya for supporting the board hajj operation.

He charged the intending pilgrims to be ambassadors of the state and the country, nothing that a holy land is a place of worship not for immoral acts
