Gombe: Mailantarki’s football academy in global fame foray

The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the 2023 general elections in Gombe stat, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, is already proving his capability and commitment to boost the fame of the state at the global level if elected governor.

The football academy he founded and owns is participating in the forthcoming youth pre-season tournament in Denmark and Norway.

The competition scheduled for Monday, July 25, to Saturday, July 6, 2022, is aimed at exposing players for advanced opportunities in Europe.

Already, several talented players from the football academy are showcasing their talents in different European clubs, some of them are even playing at professional level as others jostle for feeder teams in Portugal and Denmark.

About 20 players proved their talents to represent the academy after undergoing a three-week thorough camping and training exercise led by the Academy’s Technical Director, Manu Garba, who also doubled as former Nigeria’s U-17 World Cup winning coach.

Other technical staff flying out with the talented boys, include Academy International Liaison Director, Abdulrahman Babah, the General Manager, Abba Nasir, and Director Media, Adamu Usman Ahmed.
