Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Gombe has announced that it raked in the sum of N9.5 million in its Cooperative Society for 2013.
Announcing this at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), Chairman of the Cooperative Society, Mr. Stephen Moses, said the figure was an improvement from the N6.4 million gross net premium incomes that was realised in 2012.

The chairman said the new initiatives and strategies embarked upon during the previous years made remarkable impact on the Society as it was able to increase its net surplus of N9.5 million in 2013 against N6.4 million at the end of 2012.
According to him, following this improvement, the cooperative society’s total investment improved by 25 per cent and nine per cent, respectively, compared to that of the preceding year, and that the total liabilities were decreased by 50 per cent.

Also speaking, the Gombe state Commandant of the Corps, Mr. Joel Khettessen, reiterated government’s commitment to supporting the Society, stressing that the Command would do everything possible to assist the society.
Khettessen, who commended the leadership of the Society, also called on officers and men of the Command who were yet to join the Society to do so “as this is one of the sure ways of assisting yourselves after retirement.”
