Gombe Police intercept 2 rustlers with 35 cattle

 

 

Gombe state Police Command has intercepted two men suspected to be cattle rustlers with 35 cattle at Dadi-Kowa village in Yamltu /Deba local government area of the state

The state Police Commissioner,  Shina Tairu Olokolu, disclosed this to journalists while parading the suspected at command headquarters yesterday.

He said that the two suspects were 30 year-old Unman Sale of Garin-Tuwo village and 20-year-old Mohammed Mustapha Garba of Dogon Kawu village in Yamltu/Deba local government area of Gombe state.

“The two suspects could not give account of the 35 cattle when questioned about the ownership, hence they were arrested and investigation is in progress.

The police boss said the command also arrested one Balance Iliya, member of the notorious gang that specialised in snatching motorcycles from Okada riders in Kwadom Gona village in the state.

He said Iliya was arrested with locally fabricated pistol being used during the armed robbery operation and two motorcycles.

Olokolu warned criminal element and mischief makers to desist from their criminal acts as the Police in the state have emplacement security measures that will continue to frustrate their devilish plans.
