Gov. Abiodun advocates better welfare for families of fallen heroes

Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has advocated for a better welfare package for the wives and children of soldiers who lost their lives defending Nigeria during the war.

The governor spoke Sunday at the special church service to mark the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, held at the Cathedral Church of St. Peters, Ake, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Governor Abiodun enjoined Nigerians not to wait until the next Remembrance Day to support the wives and families of fallen soldiers, adding that military officers who died in active service should be regarded as martyrs.He urged fellow Nigerians to look around their neighbourhoods and stretch out their
