Gov Bala, reshuffle your cabinet

As a loyalist of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bauchi state, I can’t continue paving the path for the destruction of our great party both at the state and national levels. It is therefore necessary to draw the attention of Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state to urgently reshuffle his cabinet in order to have an inclusive government in the state.

His Excellency sir, note that you are seeking a second term in the state and anything mistake can hinder your victory in the forthcoming poll. It’s very essential to note that the Toro people are not pleased with the appointment of commissioners you made recently.

To hit the nail on the head, Toro people are facing serious segregation in your administration. This is in terms of political appointments, infrastructural developments and non-enjoyment of the democratic dividends since day one. Precisely, Toro hasn’t been carried along compared to other local government areas in Bauchi state.

There is no gainsaying that Toro local government area is one of the most populous, contributing immensely towards the development of the state. Toro local government area has three districts, namely, Lame, Toro and Jama’a, making it the most populous local government area in the state.

Out of the three districts, only one district is carried along – Lame District. Lame has three positions in the state executive council, Lame district has a commissioner, a director of public procurement and a special adviser on youth to the governor.

This brings about a serious controversy in Toro/Jama’a. Many people believe the appointments are not balanced and are segregated. Why would such appointments be allocated to a single district? However, the situation is giving Toro people sleepless nights believing that the governor is not with them.
Consequently, if care is not taken many people in the local government area would make a U-turn from the governor’s wagon in the forthcoming election so as to have inclusive governance in the state.

I am, therefore, calling on the governor to reshuffle his cabinet and give each local government area and district a sense of belonging in the state’s executive council for the betterment of the good people of Bauchi state. Doing so will provide inclusive governance in the state as well as make the people of Bauchi state give you their mandate for a second term.

I also call on the good people of the affected districts to remain calm and accept the governor’s decision at all times as the governor has nothing in mind other than to provide good governance to the people of the state.
