Gov Buni pledges support to Damaturu federal polytechnic

Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni over the weekend assured of support to the management of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu to ensure effective promotion of technical education in the state.

The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, made the call while receiving the newly constituted presidential visitation panel by President Muhammadu Buhari led by its chairman, Professor Aliyu Buba Ardo who paid him a courtesy call at the Government House, Damaturu.

He appreciated the efforts of President Muhammadu Buhari for sending the high powered delegation to the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu to assess the activities of the institution.

“Yobe state is committed to partnering with the polytechnic with a view to ensuring the effective running of the federal institution in promoting technical education in the state,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman Presidential visitation panel, Prof Aliyu Ardo said they were at the Government House on a courtesy call.

According to the chairman, President Buhari had approved the constitution of visitation panel to 25 Federal Polytechnics and 21 Colleges of Education across the country with Yobe having a seven-man committee headed by Prof, Aliyu Buba as chairman.
