In Zamfara, Matawalle visits hospital, donates N20,000 each to over 56 patients

Zamfara state Governor Bello Mohammed has paid a visit to the Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Gusau to commiserate with the patients on admission at the facility.

The governor during the visit donated the sum of N20,000 to each of the 56 patients on admission.

In a statement issued to Newsmen signed by the Director General Media, Public Enlightenment and Communication, Yusuf Idris , and made available to Blueprint Wednesday stated that, governor Matawalle pledged to do his best in making the state’s public hospitals the best in the country.

Governor Matawalle who was accompanied by the Task Force Chairman on the Prevention and Control of the Spread of Corona Virus who is also the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya inspected some of the hospital’s equipment.

The hospital equipment according to the statement, includes, electrically controlled beds and chairs, mattresses and other basic equipment.

The Governor warned that his administration will not tolerate any abuse of government property and reiterated his administration’s resolve to continue to give priority to the health care delivery sector with special attention to free medical care to women and children.

Blueprint reports that the containers were recently discovered at the hospital premises when the Speaker Magarya’s task force visited the hospital to ensure its preparedness in handling any possible case of the corona virus disease in the state.

“The governor who was specifically at the hospital to see the Emir of Bungudu’s mother who is also on admission, sympathized and prayed for her quick recovery and gave the sum of 100,000 naira each to the nurses, doctors and ward attendants while the hospital security got N200,000 to share among themselves”. Yusuf stated.
