Governor Buni, the enigma

One needs to congratulate this governor from one of the North-eastern states of Nigeria which had been in turmoil over the years. Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state is a governor with a difference who respects the rule of law. Since he became governor, Yobe state that had been in one trouble or the other following Boko Haram’s horrible incursion into the state is now calm with some peace mechanism. I was told Governor Buni is not a military man but has an insight in knowing the security mechanism that he enjoys which brings about security operatives to sincerely cooperate with him to tactfully bring the matter of insecurity to the barest minimum.

This governor is a man of the people who loves his entire subjects within and outside his state. Governor Buni is really an educated person who possesses uniqueness which brings certain peculiarities that embody the loyalty of his people back home. Buni is a passion flower among the governors nationwide. The Yobe state governor, hoping I am not mistaken being the “Peep Agent” or a flatterer but it is real the simple man who controls the political tempo of his hotbed state Yobe.

Governor Buni despite all odds has moved the state forward judging by the actual development seen in every inch of the state with magnificent lovable local government areas that have fully cooperated with the state government in order to make Yobe state a centre of attraction in Nigeria. If you visit Yobe at the moment, you will certainly love it because of its relative peace despite the bandits’ unfortunate incursion but things are peaceful and before 2022, in sha Allah, all of this insecurity will surely come to pass and like glacier, it will melt when the sun shines. Well, Buni is not only the governor of Yobe state but also the interim chairman of the ruling party, the APC. His one year as the party interim chairman has made the party to wake up from its coma like syndrome hence more people are coming to embrace the party, even some governors from South to the North!

One can say it will be the effort from this gentleman, the governor of this great state, “Yobe Gidan Mutanen Asali”. This was the slogan of the people of Yobe “source the young should rise up” Malam Buni being the interim chairman of the APC is seen as an orator  whose voice will sure capture his listeners wherever he goes in Nigeria. Many people have listened to his interview recently about the achievements of President Buhari for his six years on the political throne. He said his voice and opinion on which he since relied did the right things of which the about Nigerians have to listened carefully.

Really, Buni is an orator for he deserves to be the president of Nigeria if the whole contenders of the APC would have noted his qualities and a careful assessment of this government, especially, the manner he defended the 36 state governors on the economic problems they faced since the evil appearance of COVID-19 and the subsequent economic turndown regarding the low price of crude oil, the only source the federal government gets its money. The man said that despite the difficulties inherent in salary payment to workers, sacking them is not the answer since they are the sons of the soil. He also said that some people in Nigeria do not remember past events which is why they don’t appreciate the good of today.

Yesterday is forgotten despite the danger it generated to human existence, which by this time things are coming gradually to the desired point. Buni is the governor to emulate and the next gentleman is Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano state who pays salaries despite the log of the Kano state workforce.
