Green Africa airline leads on schedule flight departure – Report

A report obtained from data analysis of performance of domestic operating airlines in Nigeria has shown that new entrant Green Africa topped others in the On-Time Performance (OPT) measuring index between the months of June and November 2022.

In Nigeria, on-time departure of flights ranks top among customers’ concerns each time they step into any airports as airlines usually either delay or out rightly cancel their flights frequently leaving passengers in confused state, a situation that often leads to fracas between airline staff and disappointed travellers.

In aviation, OTP is the ability of airline to depart or arrives on schedule usually based on Official Airline Guide (OAG), it is the ability a flight to arrives or departs within 14 minutes and 59 seconds (under 15 minutes) of its scheduled arrival/departure time, according to an OAG data.

A look at the OTP results for Green Africa from June to November 2022 shows that out of the 3,404 flights the airline operated during that period, 82.37% were on time, showing the highest reported OTP record in the Nigerian aviation industry during the period.

The carrier said “What is even more impressive is the level of efficiency that the airline has displayed in the face of some of the peculiar challenges facing the airline industry in the region.”

Omolara Kehinde, who oversees the company’s brand and marketing initiatives said, “Our promise to customers is to connect them to their dreams and loved ones. Providing an on time and reliable service is at the centre of this promise.”She continued, “Every Talent at Green Africa values the company’s 5-Point Customer Promise, which are safety, affordability, service, reliability, and fun, and takes very seriously our mission, which is to use the power of air travel to create a better future.”
