The Northern Youth Advocacy for Excellence has extolled the virtues of Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Federal Character Commission, Hon Ahmed Idris Wase, describing him as a seasoned politician, quiet achiever and political strategist.
The National President of the group, Comrade Husseni Usman, said during its Annual Northern Leadership Award Forum held in Abuja that Hon Ahmed Idris Wase is a man of value whose visionary leadership qualities have produced inspiration beyond his home state of Plateau.
He said as chairman, House committee on Federal character Commission, Wase has helped a lot of Nigerian youths in gaining employment.
“A recent survey of northern personalities who have made outstanding contributions towards the evolution of modern Nigeria conducted by the Northern Youth Advocacy for Excellence revealed that the humble and humane Hon Ahmed Idris Wase is an icon of humanity”, he said.
Comrade Usman underscored the importance of such recognition which is aimed at encouraging the achievers to do more and have others learn from their examples, especially in the present challenging situation of the nation.
He said Hon Idris Wase is a high potential personality who is ever true to his words, pragmatic and exceptionally loyal to the cause of his people. “He is zealous, practical and strategic in thoughts and action. He represents for us an inspiration. His constructive and eminently positive attitude to work and socio-political issues makes him a testament to the desirable quality of our leadership”.
Arewa Youth Advocacy for Excellence stated further that Hon Ahmed Wase merits the group’s endorsement for the position of deputy speaker in the Ninth House of Representatives as a leading philanthropist and given the consistent energy, resilience and character with which he has carried on his duties in the House of Representatives.
