A group, the Kogi Concerned Citizens, has congratulated Governor Yahaya Belloon his re-election for a second term in office.
In a press statement signed by its director-general, Hajia Maryam J. Ibrahim, the group said Yahaya Bello’s electoral victory in the November governorship election held in the state is well deserved.
“And we believe in the potential of this victory in uniting our people who have now embraced democracy as the best form of government.
“This victory is an affirmation that you are the leader our people need to continue with your laudable programmes that have laid the foundation for Kogistate”s development”, it said.
The concerned citizens said Yahaya Bello’s victory for a second term in office has helped to galvanise the spirit of oneness and togetherness in the once aggravated and divided state.
“But your victory has eliminated the dividing lines of tribal and religious differences and made us one people.”
The group also congratulated Deputy Governor of Kogi state, Chief Edward Onoja, describing him as aa true believer in the Kogi project.
“We appreciate his supporting role and together we believe you shall work together to steer the state to an enviable height,” it said.
