Group lauds Wakil’s nomination as minister

The nomination of former House leader, Hon Wakil Mohammed, as a minister representing Borno state has been described as a perfect choice that is very representative of the interest of the state.
A political pressure group,  the Borno Progressive Movement (BPM), said  the nominee is known to be a true democrat, who at every point demonstrates his affinity with his people even when he has a nationwide connections and contacts.
The group, in a statement by its coordinator, Mallam Ayuba Jaffar, and Secretary, Tanko Abdulahi, said President Goodluck Jonathan had picked “a thoroughbred grassroots politician, a true party man and an accomplished professional who is best suited to represent Borno state at the Federal Executive Council.
“The nominee has served in various capacities including his acting vice chairmanship of the North-east chapter of the party. No one doubt that Mohammed is a man of the people; those of us from Borno state can confirm that the man is not only on ground but represent the very credible crop of leaders within the Borno state chapter of the party. We identify with the nominee,” they said.
