The Not Too Young to Run, Zamfara state chapter, has appealed to state Assembly members to, as a matter of urgency, pass the age reduction bill into law to enable the youths participate fully in politics in the 2019 general elections.
The call was made by the state coordinator of the movement, Amb. Anas Sanusi Gusau at a press conference held at Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ) state secretariat yesterday.
According to him, the call was imperative considering the contributions of the youths to national development, stressing that 16 out of the 36 states of the federation had passed the bill into law.
They are: Ondo, Adamawa, Benue, Nasarawa, Borno, Delta, Enugu, Ekiti, Katsina, Yobe, Gombe, Kogi, Ebonyi, Bauchi and Kaduna, between 2017 and 2018.
