Group urges Buhari to extend Adamu’s tenure

The Coalition of North Central Youths Associations (CONCYA), has urged President Muhammadu Buhari, to extend the tenure of Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Muhammad Adamu.

The Coalition’s national coordinator, Sabastine Danjibrin, and Secretary, Alh. Dauda Yakubu Shinti, flanked by leaders of other associations drawn from six states and FCT made the call at a press conference, held in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

According to Danjibrin, as concern youths of the region, so desirous of seeing adequate security to lives and property, they deemed it necessary to commend the recent efforts of security agencies in the fight against insurgency, banditry and other vices, in the region and others in the country.

They said in specific terms, the positive impact of the Nigeria Police Force, under the leadership of Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Muhammad Adamu, whose immense contributions in synergy with the military, yielding positive results in the fight against insecurity is a great source of appreciation.

“In the light of these feats mostly on Adamu’s, led police, we further deemed it wise to urge President Muhammadu Buhari, to consider extending the tenure of IGP Muhammad Adamu, so that the police can continue to implement its tactics in dealing with the insurgents, bandits and kidnappers,” the coalition said.

The coalition urged Nigerians to also see and appreciates the enormous sacrifices of the country’s security agencies, in their efforts at securing the nation.
