The National Coordinator “Buhariya Movement”, Barr Sani Yakubu Hauwa, has pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari not to rely on any list produced by the state government for further federal appointments alleging that such list contains names of mainly family relatives of the governor.
The group, which expressed disappointment in recent appointments, said: “the list is filled with names of family members and close associates and should be rejected because it will not go well for the state.”
Also, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state chieftain and former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in the state, appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to increase the presence of his administration in the state through appointments and provision of infrastructure.
Presenting the position of the group yesterday in Lafia, he noted that with the kind of support and goodwill Nasarawa indigenes gave to Buhari from his days as a member of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), the state deserved more than what it got from the President in the last two years.
Yakubu Hauwa explained that those who are in position to canvas for the state were busy canvassing for themselves, family and their close associates without minding others.
“It is a pity that the people in position seem not ready to demand anything good for the state because of their selfish interests. If they did, Nasarawa would have been given key federal appointments and even be considered for life lifting infrastructures”, he said.
Therefore, he advised President Buhari to identify with the persons who are trustworthy and believed in his ideologies and administrative policies and are core APC members and are willing support his government.
He called on the citizens particularly the youths to be resolute as 2019 is close not to rush in their decisions that their future is in their hands and urged delegates to cast their vote wisely during the primary election for better representation.
