Guaranty Trust Bank has been adjudged the most innovative bank in Africa at the recently held African Banker Awards.
The depository, which is the only one in Nigeria that was honoured at this year’s event, also has its Managing Director, Mr. Segun Agbaje, awarded African Banker of the Year.
According to the Publisher of African Banker Magazine, Mr. Omar Yedder, the activities of the bank in recent time, especially in the area of innovations and creativity were worth its new status, being the most innovative bank of the year.
“Technology is constantly shaping the banking landscape and the bank of tomorrow will be those who continually leverage advancements in technology to pioneer innovative products and services to create sustainable value for their stakeholders and improve overall customer experience.
“GTBank through the introduction of its Bank 737 products has redefined the traditional bricks and mortar experience to a swift, convenient and mobile user-friendly experience.”
The Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Agbaje, in his remark, noted “Our vision has always been to create an oasis of excellence in Africa, and buoyed by this accolade, we are determined to achieve more and consolidate our leading position in the industry by radically adopting innovative solutions, pursuing collaborations, and maintaining a high standard in creating sustainable value for stakeholders”.
