Gunmen abduct 2 siblings in Ibadan, demand N100m

Two siblings were on Monday kidnapped by suspected gunmen at their farm on Ile Ife road Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

One of the kidnapped siblings identified as Omobola was said to have arrived Nigeria  from Atlanta few weeks ago.

It was learnt that Omobola was with her sister in her farm at a location on Ife road in Ibadan, where they were both kidnapped by gunmen.

Sources close to the family of the kidnapped siblings said the kidnappers had contacted their family to demand N100 milloin for their release.

The kidnapped siblings were said to be daughters of Chief Emiola Adesina, Director of Sports in the Old Western state and proprietor of Subuola Nursery and Primary School in Ibadan have been kidnapped. 

According to a close friend of the kidnapped siblings’ family, Professor Tunji Olopa, the two daughters of Chief Emiola were kidnapped on Monday, saying, “Omobola Adepoju and Abiola Olukotun were kidnapped along the Ife-Ibadan Expressway in Ibadan and that the kidnappers had contacted the family, demanding N100 million

Contacted, Oyo state Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Lawrence  Fadeyi,  confirmed the incidence, saying men of the state police command had stormed  the area  in search of the kidnapped victims.

“Policemen are at the scene to rescue the victims. The police, anti-kidnap, SARS, all of them are already at the scene searching for the kidnapped victims. They are there to ensure that the kidnapped victims are rescued. I can assure you of that.”
