Gunmen demand N4m ransom on kidnapped King’s wife, daughter

The gunmen suspected to be herdsmen that kidnapped the wife and daughter of a traditional ruler in Oyo state, the Baba Aso of Igbole town, Igboora, Oba Olusanjo Ojo are now demanding N4million as ransom for the release of the duo.

Blueprint reliably gathered that the kidnappers on Tuesday night called the family on telephone to demand for N4 million  to free their captives.

It was learnt that all efforts by the family at making the kidnappers reduce the N4million ransom failed as they reportedly insisted on not collecting any amount less than the charged amount. 

When contacted, Oyo state Command Police Public Relations Officer, SP Lawrence Fadeyi, said the Command was working on ensuring that the kidnapped woman and her daughter were release and the kidnappers were arrested.

“We are still working over it. Efforts are still on by the command to get the kidnappers and as well get the kidnapped people off the hands of the kidnappers”, he said. 

Olori Funbi Ojo and her daughter were returning from the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH) Igboora, where Olori Ojo is the matron of the institution’s health facility when their vehicle was attacked by the gunmen.
