There was pandemonium in Abuja following invasion of gunmen in a suburb known Pegi located inside Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The hoodlums later kidnapped one person after attacking residents while they shot sporadically Wednesday night.
According to sources, the gunmen, said to have dressed in black attire fired shots at a Volkswagen saloon car, condemning the vehicle with blood stains.
It was gathered that other occupants of the vehicle were wounded while they left with one person who resides in the area.
Chairman of Pegi Community Development Association (PECDA) Mr. Taiwo Aderibigbe who confirmed the sad development said the incident occurred around 8:10pm.
He said the police have took over the road thereafter.
Police authorities are yet to speak on the incident.
However, many residents of Pegi on hearing the incidents could not go in and out of Pegi due to fear of kidnap.
