Unknown gunmen Wednesday morning kidnapped six staff of West African Ceramic Company in Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi state.
Our correspondent gathered that the incident happened at the early hours of Wednesday in Emiworo community.
The workers were said to be abducted while loading stones expected to be delivered in the ceramic site located at Itobe in the same council area.
The suspected criminals, who were fully armed, according to sources, whisked away the victims to an unknown destination.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Kogi state Police Command, DSP William Aya, said six mining workers of West African Ceramic were kidnapped by unknown gunmen around eight o’clock in the morning on Wednesday.
According to him, the Police in collaboration with other security agencies had combed the bushes in the local government to ensure that the abducted miners regained freedom from their abductors.
