Gwagwalad NBA boss secures land for FCT police

The vice-chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gwagwalada branch, Barrister David E. Aigbefoh, has facilitated a parcel of land at Tungan Maje community in Gwagwalada area council to the Nigeria Police.

The land was handed over during a brief ceremony to the representatives of the FCT Police Command on Thursday.

Speaking during the land inspection, the police officer in charge of works, ASP Haruna, who led two other senior police officers, said he was delighted with the gesture.

He promised to hit the ground running, by providing the prototype of a Divisional Police Headquarters’ building by Tuesday, next week.

He said the gesture would “greatly enhance security of lives and property in Tungan Maje and environs.”

In his remarks, the Chief of Tungan Maje on behalf of other members of his traditional cabinet and the entire members of Tunga Maje community, further commended Barrister David E. Aigbefoh for spearheading such a project, saying “only the Almighty God can bless him for this unforgettable humanitarian service to Tungan Maje community.”

Aigbefoh, who was recently praised for exhibiting courage and gallantry by confronting and repelling suspected armed kidnappers in the area, said he “believes that to have a crime-free society, all hands must be on deck to assist the security agencies in waging the war successfully.”
