Gwagwalada NOUN matriculates 58 students

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Gwagwalada special centre has admitted 58 new students into its various academic programmes for the 2017/2018 session.
Addressing the fresh students during the 17th matriculation ceremony in Gwagwalada, the ViceChancellor, Professor Abdallah Ubah Adamu, assured the students that the institution was repositioned to provide quality education to Nigerians. Adamu, who was represented by the centre director, Mrs.
Roseline Ubochi, told the gathering that the university had subjected all academic programmes to the National Universities Commission (NUC) for accreditation.
The VC also noted that the institution would continue to push forward with the development of academic infrastructure in the area of staff development, office accommodation, well equipped library and management information system (MIS).
Adamu enjoined the students to obey the rules and regulations of the university, shun vices that would hamper their academic progression even as he warned them against cultism, exam malpractices and other anti-social behaviours.
The VC encouraged the students combining academic activities with one work or the other to create time to balance between their studies and their jobs.
