Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has said that about 350,000 fully air conditioned tents awaits over 1.8 million pilgrims expected to commence movement to Mina preparatory to Hajj 2019 rites on Thursday night.
Spokesperson of the Ministry Mr. Hatin Gabi disclosed this while highlighting the state of preparedness of the ministry ahead of the movement to Mina, at a press conference Thursday in Makkah.
He said all the tents are hygenic and provided with cold water.
“Mina is now a modern city ready to receive over 1.8 million pilgrims,” he said.
He also said the ministry has mobilised 70,000 employees to serve pilgrims in Mina, Arafat, Muzdhalifa , Haram, Jamarat and other to strategic locations for a hitch free hajj exercise.
”The over 1.8 million pilgrims got their visa through a fully automated electronic visa system. This is a major breakthrough for the year, ”he added.
The joint press conference was also addressed by the ministry of health, security , interior and Saudi Civil Defence, to disclose their level of preparedness to serve pilgrims for a hitch free hajj exercise
