In line with the directive by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), intending candidates have already started trooping to the office of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) within Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) zone 7 arena to register and get their numbers.
Blueprint correspondent who is monitoring situation there reports that those ready to enrol and get identity number have been left them frustrated Thursday morning as no NIMC worker has reported to duty as at 9.30am.
Most of them numbering over 100 were seen outside NIMC office waiting ‘endlessly’.
One of them spoke to Blueprint, but didn’t want his name on print said, “I came since 4am, I even met some people already on ground.
” To our greatest surprise, we have stayed beyond 9am, no one has come to attend to us.”
Another respondent who also didn’t want his name mentioned said, “I have been coming here since the past two days, I have not been able to register. I even came with my kids. We have been spending money on transportation, and left a lot of things unattended to, yet nothing to show for the effort we have put in this NIMC registration.”
Effort to speak to any of the NIMC officials wasn’t successful as they were only seen trickling into their working premise as at the time of filling this report.
