Happening now: Scores on the run, others trapped as Boko Haram invades Borno communities

At the moment, Boko Haram terrorists have invaded communities in southern part of Borno state.

It was gathered that many residents are running into the bush in search of rescue on sighting the insurgents who arrived in large numbers in in at least 10 Hilux vans.

The villages attacked are situated within Hawul and Shaffa local government areas of the state, Channels Television reports.

Terrified villagers were said to have hidden in nearby mountains, except for the old and the sick that are feared to be stuck in the mayhem.

According to eyewitness, no military personnel has been sighted as at the time of filling this report.

The terrorist launched similar attacks in Garkida in a community in Adamawa state, close to Borno state.
