Happy Children’s Day Kiddies,
Today’s edition is a special one because we are celebrating all children. We have featured some of our lovely an intelligent kiddies who have shared their thoughts and expectations. Also, Miss Kendra Asaaju-Babs our intelligent gem authored a book titled “the Lion and the Snail” and dedicates it to all children. Isn’t that amazing?
As you celebrate always have it in mind that you can achieve greatness in life if you work hard, be focused on your goal, and pray to God for guidance.

Tell us about your book: The title of my book is the Lion and the Snail and that is my favourite book for now. It is a story about ojojo village.
Farming is major occupation in ojojo village. Lion always steals from the snail’s farm until he was caught and punished according to the kings law of the land.
The book was actually a project that was given to me by my literacy teacher Ms Tawose. She is a writer herself and I have read lots of her story books and many other tales by moonlight story books.
Vision:
I see myself in the future as a doctor but I will continue to write no matter where (profession) I found myself.
What is Children’s day?
Children’s day is a day to celebrate children of all races and colours. And by the way my book is dedicated to children all over the world.
What do you expect from your parents, school and government as you celebrate children’s day?
I want my parents to take I and my kid brother for outing. For my school they should continue making learning fun as they have always done. And finally the government should create a good learning atmosphere for every Nigerian child and make school free. Also, no child should be hawking during school hours.

I want the government to tackle insecurity especially Fulani Herdsmen crises in benue state, so that there will be a safe environment for children.

Children’s day is a very special and interesting day for children all over the country celebrated on the 27th of may every year.
We celebrate the day with activities like prayers, debate, march past, games.
What do you expect from your parents, school and government as you celebrate children’s day?
Government should build more schools and ensure free education for all children, especially in rural areas. Government should ensure peace, empower the security to stop the kidnapping and herdsmen killings.
Government should provide food, healthcare and water for children.
