Hashim withdraws support for Badaru comes 2019

Former governorship aspirants under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ubale Hashim, said he has withdrawn his support for Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar comes 2019 election.
Hashim, who made the statement over the weekend in Dutse, Jigawa state capital, said he was disappointed with the performance of the present governor.
However, he reiterated his support for the President Muhammadu Buharim, stressing that he has performed well especially in the area of security. “I and my supporters are strongly behind President Mohammadu Buhari more ever before”.
Hashim, said the ‘Hashimiya’ movement was strongly behind the president but not the governor. “I’m formally announcing our total support to only President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 polls”.
“The emergence of Badaru as a Governor in the state was not the popular view of all members of‎ the party, but for the sake of peace we supported the governor but we have since realised that the present administration in the state is no longer popular”.
Hashim, who could not agreed to declared whether he will contest for govenorship in 2019 said, “when the time comes I will make my intention known to my teeming supporters”.
He also accused Governor Badaru of paying allegiance to Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso than President Mohammadu Buhari, adding that even during the APC’s primaries, Badaru did not support Buhari.
However, responding the Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media, Alhaji Auwal Sankara, said there was never a time that Governor Badaru failed to honour any of his promises to the people of the state.
