Hearing on Iyan Zazzau’s case against KDSG begins Oct 27

A Kaduna state High Court sitting at Dogarawa  and presided over by Justice Kabir Dabo has fixed October 27, 2020 to commence hearing in a matter filed before it by Prince Bashir Aminu, challenging the appointment of Alhaji Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli as the 19th Emir of Zazzau.

Bamalli’s appointment followed the demise of the late emir, Alhaji Shehu Idris, who died on 20th September, after a brief illness.

Our correspondent reports that others joined in the suit include the Kaduna state government, commissioner, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Zazzau Emirate Kingmakers, Zazzau Emirate Council and the current Emir of Zazzau.

The court held that adjournment was to allow service (s) to the defendants before the next adjourned date.

Counsel to the plaintiff, Barrister Samuel Atum, holding brief for Yunusa Ustaz, declined comment when asked to comment on the matter.
