Adikwu also honoured some of the university’s past law graduates who made the institution, their parents and the nation proud by the way they had distinguished themselves in their conducts and contribution to nation building.

Three of the university’s Law students have, for the last three years, emerged with first class at the final bar examinations of the Nigerian Law School, just as they have also won laurels at an international competition in USA.
According to the vice-chancellor, “as much as the university recorded some positive achievements in the conduct of its affairs during the years, the institution is haunted by inadequate funding to complete some major physical projects, which now dot the main campus landscape. I, therefore, appealed to the government to lend helping hand towards completing the projects which are crucial to the realisation of the full capacity of the university.
