Henry Onyekuru wanted by Birmingham City

Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru has yet another potential suitor, with news that Championship side Birmingham City are chasing his signature. According to the Daily Mail, Birmingham are prepared to break their club record transfer fee to sign the player from Belgian side KES Eupen. A fee of £7.5-million has been mooted, which would easily break the Blues’ previous record of £6-million paid to Valencia to sign Nikola Zigic in 2010. Onyekuru enjoyed a superb season for Eupen and has been marked as one of European football’s rising stars. He has been courted by the likes of Arsenal and West Ham United, but remains on the market ahead of the 2017/18 season.
