Honesty ‘ll drive Lyon’s leadership in Bayelsa – Oseke

A member representing Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa state, Hon.Preye Oseke has said honesty would drive the leadership style of the party’s standard-bearer, Chief David Lyon if elected the 4th civilian governor of the state in the November 16 gubernatorial poll.

Oseke told Blueprint in Yenogoa that the APC candidate is the right choice for the opposition party in the state due to his honesty and humane disposition.

“Undoubtedly, his regime will be characteristically honest, purposeful and selfless, just as it will witness service delivery in all its ramifications. Above all, Bayelsa State will indeed become synonymous with such glory as deserving of the Glory of All Lands,” he said.

He recalled some of the intervention Chief Lyon has done in the past especially through his foundation, urging all Bayelsans to support the APC candidate.

He said he had worked with Chief Lyon in the past and could attest to his character, adding that he impacted many lives without having access to the public fund.

“This philanthropic disposition spoke eloquently of the statewide jubilation that erupted, and the numerous felicitations that greeted your emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard-bearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State,” he said.

He commended the party leadership in the state for adopting direct primaries system which led to the emergence of Chief Lyon as the APC candidate.

He also expressed hope that the success of the APC in the forthcoming election would usher in a ray of hope and “positive change” for the Bayelsa people.
