Hospitals board to residents: Ignore recruitment advert

Federal Capital Territory Hospitals Management Board has warned members of the public to ignore recruitment advertisement hosted online on some social media platforms as the board was not recruiting medical personnel. Th e Board in a press statement by Director of Human Resource Management, Hajiya Amina Abubakar, also warned job seekers to be weary of fraudsters seeking to extort them and not money to any organisation or group of people for recruitment purposes, stating that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) “does not collect money for recruitment’

exercise.” Th e statement read in part: “Our attention has been drawn to online advertisement of on-going recruitment exercise to fi ll various vacant positions in FCT Hospitals Management Board. “We want to use this medium to state that there are no such vacancies in the Board and warn members of the public to be weary of unscrupulous elements who are out to defraud unsuspecting residents of the Territory.

“It is instructive to note that FCT Administration does not collect money from applicants in any recruitment exercise as indicated by these fraudsters. We, therefore, call on members of the public to disregard this online advertisement.” Advertisement for qualifi ed candidates to fi ll vacant positions in FCT Hospital Management Board Abuja had been trending on social media platforms and required applicants to pay a parcel fee of N1, 500 via Zenith account 2176641902 or First Bank savings account 3052603391 with account name Ogbodu Oghenekaro.
