House majority leader Doguwa moves to save Falgore bridge from collapse

The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Honourable Alhassan Ado Doguwa has  called on the Minister of State, Works and Housing, Alhaji Ibrahim El-Yakub, to as a matter of urgency save the Falgore double bridge from collapsing.

Doguwa made the plea when he visited the minister in his office, pointing out that it has become necessary in view of the importance of the bridge to the people of Tudun Wada/ Doguwa federal constituency.

He also said with the minister’s prompt intervention, saving the bridge from collapsing would never be impossible.

According to the lawmaker, it is an abiding obligation that lies on his shoulders to seek the minister’s intervention in his capacity as a representative of his people. 

He noted that the visit had yielded a positive result as he had opportunity to have the firm support of the minister at the time when such support is most needed.

On his part, the minister promised to intervene in saving the bridge from collapsing in addition to    effecting a concrete repair that could stand the test of time, adding that the Buhari’s administration had been consistent in responding to the yearnings and aspirations of the entire citizens

To this end, the minister added,  the execution of the project is poised to start in earnest via a prompt and thorough inspection of the site, with quality assurance to be given preference.

Shedding more light on the project, the controller Kano office Engr. Yahaya Ali stated that work has already commenced at the site and would be completed within three months of its reception.

Meanwhile, the House Majority Leader, has expressed his utmost satisfaction with the commencement of the project in good time and the manner the double bridge had been expanded and the precautions taken to avoid its collapse in future.
