How bandits invaded another Kaduna school again, kidnapped pupils, teachers

 

Barely 72 hours after bandits attacked Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, kidnapping 39 students, who are yet to be freed, bandits have struck again, this time in Rema, Birnin Gwari local government of Kaduna state.
As the 23 males and 16 females students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka are still in captivity, bandits have attacked LEA Primary School Rema, in Birnin Gwari local government area, kidnapping a number of pupils and teachers of the school, according to Kaduna state government.


Though the actual number of abducted pupils and teachers are yet to be known, Kaduna state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan said that the state government has received security reports of kidnapping of pupils and teachers in Birnin Gwari local government.  


“The Kaduna state government is receiving security reports of kidnapping of some pupils and teachers in a primary school located in Rema, Birnin Gwari local government area.
“According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at an LEA Primary School in the LGA. 
The Kaduna state government is currently obtaining details on the actual number of pupils and teachers reported to have been kidnapped and will issue a comprehensive statement as soon as possible,” Aruwan added.
