The PPRO also confirmed that eight people were rushed to the Federal Medical Centre Owerri after another attack around Orji part of Owerri North local government area.

The men were said to be trailing an unmarked vehicle, after which they shot sporadically to escape and in the process got people injured.

In past few weeks, there has been intensed insecurity in the Southeast with attacks mostly on police and other security agencies and operatives.
