How I escaped being duped, assassinated – Mansura Isa

Mansura Isa is not only a celebrity at Kannywood, she is also a successful business entrepreneur and philanthropist. Last week, this beautiful wife of Sani Musa Danja who is also a stakeholder in Kannywood, was nearly duped of millions of naira. According to her, she was billed to be kidnapped and assassinated after undergoing series of torture and extortion.

In a short interview with ALIYU ASKIRA in Kano penultimate week, Masura Isa narrated how a particular 419ner pressurised her through phone calls demanding for the sum of N50 million.

Hajiya, we are happy that you are still alive having gone through a serious assassination threat from some criminals. What actually happened?

Thank you my brother, when I received a call from one dubious character demanding that if I did not give him N50 million he would kidnap me alongside all my children and kill us, I knew that I was in big trouble and so I had to be smart to escape from this alleged assassin.

So, tell us the full story?

Well, he told me everything about my family which I believed he picked from Google, and insisted that was my information and that he knows my movement and my house very well. He further threatened that if I refused to pay the ransom they would come and kidnap me and kill me. So, I also ran to my Malam and told him the entire story, and he did some prayers for me, and told me that if the 419ners called me again I should tell them to go to hell or I would on the other hand cause a spell on them and that it would make them go mad. This was when the young man started confessing that actually he was in need of money which was why he devised this dubious means to extort me. However, he later apologised and begged me to forgive him.

Meanwhile, I knew all along that he could not harm me and my family because I had made all necessary security arrangements. I did not panic as such, but let me use this medium to call on people of such characters to always fear God and engage in businesses that are Halal.
