I ‘ll be the first female governor in Nigeria, Natasha boasts

The  governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi state ,  Barrister  Natasha Akpoti has expressed optimism that she will contest and win the November 16 gubernatorial election in the state.

Akpoti noted that she will become Nigeria’s first female governor in the history of the state and Nigeria at large.

The SDP candidate made this assertion while addressing a large crowd of supporters who paid her a courtesy call on Sunday to reiterate their support and conviction in her candidacy.

“I warmly welcome you all and wants to use this opportunity to appreciate the immense support I have enjoyed from you so far and your continued belief in my candidacy.

“I want to assure you that with your solid support and votes, my resolve to lead Kogi state to unprecedented progress and become the first female governor since the creation of the state since  1991 is unwavering.

“Come November, I will contest and win the gubernatorial election in Kogi state despite all the challenges and setbacks that have come our way. Together, we will make history and place our state in her rightful place among the committee of states in Nigeria.

“It is apparent that the people of the can no longer bear the suffering inflicted on them by the present administration and it is our hope that with your (electorates) support and massive votes we will dislodge them and established a government that will turn people sorrow to fortune”

While urging them to be ready with their PVC ahead of November 16, Akpoti advised them to cast votes and defend their votes.
