A former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Femi Fani-Kayode has said that he would rather die than join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He was responding to claims that he had dumped the opposition PDP for the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
The former minister said it was insulting to say that he had joined “filthy, rat-infested sinking ship like the Almajiri Peoples Party (APC).”
In a post on his verified Twitter [email protected], he wrote, “The suggestion that I have dumped @OfficialPDPNig for @OfficialAPCNg is false and deeply insulting.
“Those that are peddling this fake news should bury their heads in shame.
“I would rather die than join a filthy, rat-infested sinking ship like the Almajiri Peoples Party (APC).”
Fani-Kayode has remained a fierce critic of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.
He is currently being tried by the government over alleged corruption.
