I million man-match for Tinubu: Ganduje pledges violence-free campaign

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has said arrangements had been concluded for the conduct of violence free campaign  in preparation for the 2023 general election adding that he was ready to host rival political parties to a  special dinner at Kano Government House.

Addressing All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters  who converged on the Kano Race Course to drum up support for the APC presidential flag bearer as part of the one million match organised by the Tinubu support group,  Sunday, Ganduje stated that the match clearly demonstrated the focus and unity of the APC in achieving its goals come the year 2023.

According to him, hosting rival parties to a dinner would be the best way to forge a common bond that would set the pace for a rancour free campaign at all levels affirming that his administration has no inkling of animosity against anyone in the name of actualizing a political ambition.

He however stated that the time has come for card carrying members of the APC to close ranks for unity and cohesion of the party to prevail adding that without unity and cohesion the journey towards achieving the projected goals in the year 2023 would remain at the level of rhetoric.

He said, “We are here today, for a great historical epoch people are saying we are holding a one million man match. I want to tell you that it is a three million man match. Our people in Kano have spoken and we are going to sweep the polls come the year 2023.

“We are going to conduct a violence free campaign without anyone hurt. We are lovers of peace and we are not going to derail on our path. APC’s road to victory is clear and our people have amply demonstrated their resolve in pitching a tent for the purpose of achieving a common goal,” he added.
