I owe no staff salary – Dikko

BChairman, Bwari area council, Hon. Dr. Musa Dikko, has disclosed that the council has paid off all inherited unpaid salaries, huge bank debt and as well taken delivery of not less than 15 different projects so far. The projects, according to him, ranged from primary health care clinics, vocational centres, blocks of classrooms, boreholes, grinding mill, among others. Dikko disclosed this yesterday during a town hall meeting celebrating his second year in office. He further stated the responsibilities carried out by the council to support the affected indigenes and residents of Bwari during the ‘black Christmas 2017’.
“As a council, we were able to provide succour by distributing relief materials to the victims of market and private property owners. We also settled the hospital bills of the critically injured that were in various hospitals, as well as paying condolence visit to each of theeight (8) families that lost their bread winners as a result of the crisis and empowered 500 women and youth with the sum of N10, 000 each,” he stated. The event showcased dignitaries, a written and picture presentationof achievements, awards among others.
Head of Satellite Development, Hon. Yamahu Isaqu Tanko, said “I have gone round the 6 area councils in Abuja but this council is doing a great job, the chairman is working but he should put more effort on waste management.
