I won’t allow anyone steal Nigeria’s money – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, has assured Nigerians that his administration will continue to fight corruption in all ramifications, and guarantee the security of lives and property of the citizenry.

President Buhari, who stated this in Sokoto yesterday, when he led the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign rally to the state, said his administration, had delivered on its promises made during the 2015 presidential campaign.

”My administration will continue to fight corruption, provide good governance to the people of Nigeria. We are determined, not relenting and anyone established to be guilty will face appropriate penalty.

“I did not steal your money and I will not allow anybody to steal as long as I’m at the helm of your affairs.”

Buhari, who was received by a mammoth crowd at Giginya Memorial Stadium, Sokoto, also said his administration would strengthen the economy through boosting the agricultural sector

”My administration is to re-engineer the machinery of governance to cause relief for Nigerians through boosting agriculture.”

He said, within the over three years of his administration, farmers have been placed on a beneficial yield through government’s responsive agriculture programmes.

“It has afforded a number of them the legitimate means of responding to their financial needs and sustained food security.”

On security, particularly in the North-east, the president said, it was being tackled with appreciable successes.

“We are doing our best and Borno people can testify to that.”

Also addressing the rally, APC National Chairman, Adams Oshimhole, said Nigerians were ready to give their votes to Buhari, whom he described as “a man of the people with national acceptance across the country.

”Muhammadu Buhari is the choice of Nigerians. That is why we are behind the voice of the people of Nigeria to ensure his re-election.”

While stating that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party had out cried over alleged attempt to rig election, Oshiomhole said APC’s grand support was enough to send signal to the opposition.

“It is clear that since their defeat in 2015, PDP has lost ground and machinery of rigging which they were used to, hence the allegations.”

Also speaking, APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said President Buhari and the APC were set to make Nigeria a better place for an average citizen.

He said, Buhari had always been the best and trusted candidate to steer the ship of governance at the centre.

“He has the moral character, honesty and zeal to move the country to the next level of prosperity. Farmers in Nigeria have never had it good like in this APC government which Buhari is leading.

“I am convinced that Nigerians will vote for him to move the country in the right direction.”
