I won’t return to PDP again – Ex-member

A former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zaria local government area of Kaduna state, Hon. Sadiya Aliyu Limanchin-Kona, who defected to the All Progressive Change (APC), has vowed never to return to the PDP.

Limanchin-Kona, who made her stand known yesterday in an exclusive interview with Blueprint in Zaria, said on no account would she return to the PDP as a result of its lack of focus.
She noted that in the past 16 years, the PDP had not done anything in the state to better the lot of the people.
She said: “We suffered a lot to make PDP what it is now, but for the selfish interest of the so-called leaders we are still suffering.

We will bring out positive change in the Zaria local government area, the state and country at large for the betterment of the common man.”
According to her, she is not unaware of the rumour that the PDP-led administration would suspend her as councilor in Zaria-West De Area Development Council simply because she defected from the PDP.

She said her alleged suspension as councillor was being master-minded by a strong stakeholder of her former party who is very close to Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.
She said the PDP was already a dead party, stressing that whoever remained in it would regret it.
