Ibadan Polytechnic shuts down Students union activities

The management of the Polytechnic Ibadan on Thursday suspended the student union body of the institution.

Ibadan is Oyo state capital.

According to the Institution’s spokesperson, Alhaji Soladoye  Adewole, the suspension followed the failure of the Student Union Government (SUG) to obey and follow the rules guiding its activities.

Alhaji Adewole said the management directed immediate suspension of the SUG as a result of their on going football competition which has been disturbing the peace of the institution ahead of next week’s examination.

The Spokesman then advised the students of the Institution in general to stay committed to their examination which would begin shortly as the Management would not hesitate to punish anyone that flouts the rules guiding the institution.
