Members of the ‘Quality Assurance Technical Board’ of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai (IBBUL), in Niger State, have been inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor of the school, Professor Muhammad Nasir Maiturare.
At the IBBU Senate Conference Room, Prof. Maiturare, charged members of the Board to live above board, urging them to also be the epitome of quality that members of the institution will emulate.
The VC, while stressing the importance of quality assurance to the realization of the ‘World Centre of Excellence Vision of IBBUL’, assured the Board members of management’s support for them to effectively discharge their core responsibilities.
The Board, which will be chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Academic, Prof. Mohammed S. Mohammed; also include the Director Quality Assurance, Prof. Muhammad Tajudeen Mustapha; Bursar, Mallam Abdul Garba; Acting University Librarian, Dr. Abubakar Usman; Dean, Postgraduate School, Professor Baba Alfa; Director, Academic Planning, Dr. Mohammed Aliyu Paiko; Director, Centre for Applied Sciences and Technology Research (CASTER), Professor Nugu Obaje and Director, ICT, Professor Musa Bawa.
Others are Director, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre, Dr. Muhammad Abubakar Mawoli; Representative of Committee of Deans and Directors, Professor Dennis Balogu; Director Medical and Health Services, Dr. Muhammad Hassan Jimada; Director, Sports, Dr. Abdul Mohammed; Director, Development Office, Mr. Godwin Ashituabe and Chief Security Officer, Major Ndagi Tete Kudu (Rtd).
The rest include IBBU Director of SIWES, Dr. Abubakar Gudugi; the SERVICOM Focal Officer, Dr. Ebenezer Ogungbe; Establishment Secretary, Mallam Idris Saleh Kusherki; and Representative of Committee of HODs; while the Academic Secretary, Mrs. Amina Ndayako (Esq.) is to serve as Secretary.
Chairman of the Board, Prof. Mohammed, thanked the Management for giving them the opportunity to contribute their quota towards the accelerated growth of university.
He assured that members of the Board will assiduously work in order to justify the ‘huge’ confidence reposed on them, by ensuring that the quality framework of the institution becomes fully operational.
