Ibrahim assumes duty as EPO’s Permanent Secretary

Newly appointed Permanent Secretary Ecological Project Office (EPO), Malam Shehu Ibrahim, has said he would ensure the Office fulfill it’s mandate during his time at the helm of the agency.

Ibrahim, who gave the pledge at the handing-over ceremony held at the EPO Conference Room in Abuja.

The Permanent Secretary pledged to his unalloyed dedication, loyalty and commitment to ensuring that the EPO delivers efficient and effective service.

The Permanent Secretary appreciated the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha saying it has a privilege to work with him in the past, assuring that he will work to justify the appointment.

Ibrahim also thanked the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi- Esan for , “finding it right to deploy me to EPO at this time”, stating that he will continue to be “ guided under her mentorship” and do his outmost best to deliver on his assignment.

He commended the immediate past Permanent Secretary who is now the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Dr Habiba Lawal for the enormous effort she put into the office during her tenure.

To the management and staff of EPO, the Permanent Secretary, said he is ready to work with them as a family with everyone without biases.
He promised to study the handing over notes to have a full grasp of the workings of the office and get clarification where necessary.

In her remarks, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination, Dr Habiba Lawal, admonished the staff to give the Permanent Secretary the necessary cooperation that would enhance the provision of the desired leadership, noting that Ibrahim is competent, resourceful and well able to manage the office.

Speaking earlier, the outgoing Director, overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Dr Famous Eseduwo, said he is grateful for the opportunity to have put in his quota as head of the Office saying the handover notes will provide the Permanent Secretary with the required information during his overseeing capacity.
