ICC World Cup qualifier: Nigeria battle Malawi, Kenya face Sierra leone for African tickets

The Nigeria U19 men’s team will continue their impressive outings in the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup qualifier when they face their Malawian counterparts in the first semifinal game on Friday.

Team Nigeria, who won all their group games against Rwanda, Botswana and Sierra Leone, will play Team Malawi that finished as Runners Up in group B behind Team Kenya for a place in the final.

Meanwhile, Team Kenya, who are the group B winners, will lock horns with Team Sierra Leone that came second in group A behind Team Nigeria in the other semifinal game for a place in this year’s final.

The semi-final games are scheduled to kick off by 9:30am on Friday at the MKO Abiola National Stadium In Abuja.

The two finalists in the tournament and the winner of the 3rd/4th place play-off will advance to the ICC Africa Division 1 finals next year.
